Secondhand items

No Acorn computers have been manufactured in over a decade. It therefore goes without saying that many harware items and spare parts are not new. These items, where appropriate, are overhauled and checked by us and are offered with a full warranty.

In some cases components may be in all normal sense of the word 'new' but because they have been previously held by a dealer and sold as 'old stock' to another distributor they become technically, under EC law, 'secondhand'. This may be the case with items such as certain hard drives where we have obtained 'new old stock' of obsolete models from dealers because the later models don't work on Acorn hardware. In all such cases, even though the items may be technically secondhand and outside any manufaturers warranty period, we offer a full 'new' guarantee.
